Quezon City, Philippines – Various sectors and organizations including the Council for Health and Development hold a protest action in Boy Scout Circle, Timog Ave., Quezon City on Wednesday, Oct. 18 against the ongoing bombing in Gaza by US-backed Israeli government.
The Zionist government drop bombs and missiles in Gaza, destroying homes, hospitals, schools and killing thousands of Palestinians in retaliation to the Hamas’ attack on the border of Gaza on October 7. The history of oppression of the Palestinian people by the Zionist government goes way back to 1948.
On the evening of October 14, al-Ahli Arab Hospital was bombed by the Israeli military, killing 500 Palestinians. At first, the Israeli government claimed they bombed the hospital because it was housing Hamas terrorists and storing its explosives, they even warned the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem, who is managing the hospital, to evacuate the hospital in 3 hours. But later on they changed their narrative, saying that it was Palestinian Islamic Jihad who bombed the hospital.
Organizations, including the CHD, call for the opening of humanitarian corridors to allow food, water and supplies to the people of Palestine as the Israeli government blocks the aid coming to Gaza, stop the bombings of houses, schools, and hospitals by the Israeli Occupation Forces, call for the Commission of Inquiry to investigate all war crimes and prosecute all perpetrators and make them accountable, and an end to the US-Israel Zionist occupation and aggression of Palestine.
The Palestinian people’s resistance to the occupation is just!
